Cozy In-Home Newborn Session | Baby Jude and Family

One of the many joys of my career is meeting new, wonderful families and snuggling all the sweet little babies! I had the pleasure of meeting the Smith family last year during their fall mini session! Needless to say, when Staci reached out to me about capturing a newborn session of their baby boy on the way, I was thrilled! Sweet baby Jude, was such an adorable little guy and absolutely rocked his cozy in-home newborn session.

Cozy In-Home Newborn Session

I love offering in-home sessions for newborns. Bringing a baby home is such a special time in a family’s life. It can also be an overwhelming time trying to figure out new sleep schedules and learning to function off little-to-no sleep. Meeting my client’s in their home allows for a more relaxed and personalized session experience. Not only are client’s more comfortable in their own home, but if your baby needs to be fed, swaddled in their favorite blanket, or rocked to sleep, everything you need is within reach. There is no stress about making sure you packed everything in the diaper bag. In addition, in-home sessions provide an opportunity to snuggle up on your family’s couch or bed and just enjoy the moment together. Those photos taken in your family home will have so much more meaning and sentimental value.

I loved watching little Jude! Even though he was wide-eyed for most of the session, he did perfectly. He just looked up with his beautiful eyes and adorable expressions. Jude’s nursery is the cutest little boy nursery! I loved the construction trucks on the wall and sheets, but my favorite decor was a beautiful wall sign displaying the bible verse Joshua 1:9.

Jude’s big brother, Harrison is so sweet and already excelling at his new role as big brother!! Since we were at their house, we had to get a few photos of Harrison in his room with his awesome dinosaur sheets! Another perk of in-home sessions!

I absolutely loved spending time with the Smith family and capturing these precious moments of them together as a new family of four.
