I recently captured this precious little baby boy, Ridge and his sweet parents, Haleigh and Ryan for their In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session in Birmingham, Alabama. I loved getting to meet and spend time with this new family of three! This is such an exciting time and monumental moment for this family. It brings me so much joy to capture these family milestones and memories!
In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session
Baby Ridge is so precious!! While most newborns do tend to sleep, Ridge was alert and awake throughout the majority of his newborn session! I loved every minute of it! He was offering up the cutest expressions and was perfectly content in the arms of his loving parents. Towards the end of his session he did start to doze off a bit. It gave me the perfect window to capture a few sweet sleeping shots of him. I love it when babies drift off to sleep with a half-smile expression. It melts my heart every time! While he slept, I also focused on the teeny tiny details of this sweet little guy.
I love that Haleigh and Ryan incorporated the blue runner from their wedding into the session. We decided to use it to swaddle baby Ridge in a few photos, and I just love how those images turned out. Not only did he look darling, but now this family will have these special and sentimental images to look back on treasure for years to come! They will mean so much more because there is a greater story being told through these images. This is what photos do; their purpose is to tell the unique stories of families over years and generations.
As baby Ridge grows and his tiny features begin to change, his parents will have these images to enjoy and look back on. I am honored to have been able to document the start of this new chapter in their family story.
