Emily and Tyler are one of those couples that make you feel like you’ve been best friends with them forever! They are both such kind, genuine, and joyful people! Their entire wedding day was filled with so much laughter, happiness, and celebration! I always love seeing all the special people in a couple’s lives that come help celebrate them on their wedding day because it shows such a beautiful picture of how supported and loved that couple truly is, but also how loving, kind, and easy to celebrate that couple is!
We started the day at one of Emily’s childhood friends’ homes for the getting ready portion of the day. One of my favorite things on a wedding day is when I arrive and get to go give my sweet clients a hug and share in the excitement with them, and this day was no different! 🙂 Emily and all of her bridesmaids, as well as both Emily and Tyler’s moms had their hair and makeup done by the wonderfully talented ladies with Dearly Beloved Hair and Makeup, and they all looked absolutely STUNNING! I gathered all of Emily’s details and got to work capturing all the special items Emily had picked out for her big day! Details are one of my favorite things to photograph on a wedding day, and I love doing it to begin the day as it helps my creative juices start flowing! I love the story the details tell of a couple’s day. I absolutely loved the color scheme that Emily chose: pink, grey, ivory, and greenery. Everything was absolutely gorgeous!
After all the ladies got ready, we headed over to the Carriage House at Park Crest Event Facility to get Emily into her gown and meet Tyler for their first look! We knew we had some rain in the forecast, so we had to plan everything perfectly in order to get their first look and portraits as well as bridal party photos all done in the Gardens area before the rain came. Thanks to some awesome coordination on Amanda’s part and an absolutely wonderful bridal party and bride and groom, we were able to beat the rain! Yay! The moment Tyler saw Emily for the first time was such a special moment. As I shot those first look moments, I knew then and there they would be my favorites of the day, especially because it instantly reminded me of my own first look with my husband. Tyler and Emily were both so emotional and so genuinely joyful in that moment, and I believe that’s one of the best images of marriage: unconditional, unwavering, steadfast love. We had so much fun getting some fun shots of the two of them before we brought the rest of the bridal party out.
Once the bridal party came out, the bridesmaids got to see Emily for the first time in her dress, and their reactions were so amazing! She had such an awesome, supportive, FUN group of bridesmaids that made her feel so special and loved! We got all of our fun bridal party shots, some family shots, and headed in to beat the rain and get ready for the ceremony! Once the ceremony began, you could visibly see the excitement in Tyler’s face as he eagerly anticipated his bride to walk down the aisle towards him. When those doors opened, you could truly see the love in their eyes as they both shed tears of joy: after years of dating and doing long distance, they were finally about to be married! Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful. They took communion, had scripture passages read, and Jeremiah Castille delivered a beautiful homily. Once that kiss happened, these two were ready to dance the night away with their friends and family!
We headed downstairs to their gorgeous reception for all of their first dances, where Emily and both of her parents surprised everyone with a fun choreographed dance! After the gorgeous (and INCREDIBLY delicious!!) cakes had been cut, Big Al surprised Tyler and danced throughout the evening with the couple and their friends and family! What a fun surprise Emily planned for Tyler!
Emily and Tyler, thank you SO much from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to capture your wedding day! I absolutely LOVED working with y’all, and I’m so excited for you guys to finally be Mr. and Mrs. Aderholt!!
