“I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.”

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details, and others are beautiful because of the people surrounding them. Maggie and Seth’s wedding at Windwood Equestrian felt like the perfect combination of both. From the second I arrived, the entire day carried this excitement and emotion that felt incredibly genuine. Everyone around them was fully invested in celebrating not just the wedding itself, but the relationship they have built together over the years, and you could sense that joy and sweetness in every part of the day.

This sweet couple have been together since high school, which to me, explains so much about the way they interact with each other. There is such an easy comfort between them that makes being around them feel effortless. Maggie told me in her questionnaire that Seth once sent her a Snapchat with a fidget spinner balanced on his nose, and fourteen-year-old her thought it was the coolest thing ever. I laughed when I read that because it felt so specific and true to who they are. Even now, years later, they still have that same playful energy together, and it naturally came through during every part of the day.
One thing Maggie mentioned before the wedding was how important it was for everything to feel natural and present. She said she did not want to feel out of body or overly posed, and I really think that mindset shaped the atmosphere of the entire wedding in the best way. Nothing felt overly contrived or overly planned out, though it was carefully planned with love. They stayed focused on each other all day long, and because of that, every emotion felt even more meaningful. The laughter came easily, the reactions felt genuine, and even the quieter moments stood out in such a beautiful way.
Their first look ended up being one of my favorite moments from the entire day. Maggie wanted it to feel private with no onlookers, which made the moment feel even more personal once it happened. The second Seth turned around and saw her, he completely lost it. Those are the moments I love most as a photographer because nothing about them feels performative. It is simply real emotion unfolding in real time, and those are always the images couples end up holding onto the longest.

There were also so many meaningful details woven throughout the day that made everything feel even more personal. Maggie shared that Seth wore his late grandfather’s wedding ring, which added so much emotion to the day already. She also told me ahead of time how important it was for me to photograph her grandmother throughout the wedding and to capture the relationship she shares with her sister. I loved how intentional she was about those priorities because those are the photographs that become even more valuable with time.
Visually, this wedding was absolutely stunning from beginning to end. The soft blush bridesmaid dresses paired so beautifully with the classic black tuxes, and Windwood’s property gave us the dreamiest backdrop for portraits. Maggie looked incredible in her gown, especially once we added the veil into portraits with Seth. The entire day felt timeless and elegant while still feeling relaxed and joyful. Their bridal party also brought so much personality and energy into the day, especially during the reveal and walking portraits, which ended up being some of my favorite images to capture.
Maggie and Seth, I truly loved being part of this day with you both. From your engagement session to your wedding day, you made every part of this process feel easy and enjoyable. Your wedding was emotional, joyful, sentimental, and so centered around the people you love most. I already know these images are only going to mean more with time, and I feel incredibly grateful I got to capture this season for you. I wish you all the very best things in your life together!
