Birmingham Family Sessions of 2022 | A Year in Review

2022 was packed full of so many AMAZING families and magical moments! I am incredibly grateful to every single family who trusted me to capture their memories. It has been an honor to serve each of my clients. I am thankful for every family, newborn, milestone, and maternity session photographed this year.  Reflecting on the previous year brings me so much joy. My Birmingham Family Sessions of 2022 consisted of 19 family sessions, 7 Milestone sessions, 10 Maternity Sessions, and 19 in-home newborn sessions! These 55 sessions captured families at all different stages of life, and these were just my full sessions! I had the honor of capturing even more families throughout the year during my fall, spring, Christmas, and Santa mini sessions! 

 I loved capturing all the glowing mama’s and over-the-moon father’s-to-be during their maternity sessions. Nine months feels like forever when you are in that moment, anxiously awaiting your newborn’s arrival. However, any seasoned mom will agree that it is just a blip of time. A fleeting moment that is gone all too quickly, which is even more reason to capture it. Whether it is your first pregnancy or fourth, it deserves to be captured so you can remember that season of life.

Maternity Sessions

The 19 in-home newborn sessions I captured were all special in their own way. Some families brought home their first born, and it was amazing to watch these new moms and dads bond with their baby and effortlessly take on their new roles. Other families I captured were larger and it was so heartwarming to see the older children loving on their newest sibling. Capturing these intimate family moments are incredibly important. Newborns grow so quickly and I promise you will want to remember this special moment in life forever.

Birmingham Family + Milestone Sessions

Watching babies grow during milestone sessions is such a treat. I love getting to know families and watching their little one grow up in front of my camera. Seeing their smile change as teeth grow in, watching their eyes light up with curiosity as they gain independence, or witnessing them tottering around as they learn to walk are the moments I live to capture for my families. 

I am so grateful to have many returning families each year. In the same way I look forward to milestone sessions to see how a little one has grown and changed, I look forward to my family sessions to see how families are growing.  It was such an honor to capture these beautiful families throughout the year 2022. I appreciate every new and returning client. I am look forward to capturing all my clients’ memories and life milestones in the year ahead.
