It has been a busy season full of new babies! I know, the best kind of season, right?! I have so many wonderful clients that have welcomed new babies into their families recently!! It has been such a joyful time to capture all the precious family moments for clients and snuggle all the sweet newborns! Baby Lila Kate is one of the many newborns I’ve had the pleasure of capturing recently! I was thrilled when her mom, Jill, told me she was expecting again! I was more than happy to shoot their in-home newborn lifestyle portraits!

Big sister, Neely, was over the moon excited when she found out she was having a baby sister! It is safe to say that her excitement and enthusiasm has only grown since bringing Lila Kate home from the hospital. Neely is a FANTASTIC big sister! She is so sweet and gentle with her little sister, and I just loved watching her in this new role! I have no doubt Lila Kate is going to grow up adoring Neely!

Lila Kate slept soundly throughout most of our session, which gave me plenty of time to capture all the sweet details from her tiny little toes to adorable sleepy expressions. She did end up waking briefly towards the end of the in-home session. Mom did a quick outfit swap, swaddling her up in a blanket that was tied in perfect pink bow and featured her monogram initials. She was calm and bright eyed for this portion, and I enjoyed every second! These moments are so fleeting. However, I know when you are in the thick of sleepless nights and routine two-hour feedings, it doesn’t seem to go by all that quick, but it really does. I love providing my clients timeless images from monumental and special moments in life, such as this.

I’m so happy for the sweet Hyde family. I can’t wait to see this beautiful family of four again!
