Anytime I get to work with this amazing family, The Smiths, I know it is going to be a good day! I couldn’t wait for their session date to get here! We met up at The Preserve Town Hall in Hoover, Alabama. The Preserve is the cutest little neighborhood near Moss Rock Preserve! Their family + One Year Milestone Portraits turned out fantastic. I can hardly believe their youngest child, Beckham, is a year old already! Beckham is the cutest little boy! He was so smiley throughout our entire session!
Family Portraits
While the focus of this session was on Beckham, we took time at the beginning of their session to update their family portraits! They are such a beautiful family! Their little girl, Addie, is absolutely precious! I’m obsessed with her long, gorgeous curls!! Addie has the cutest personality! She loved the camera and did so well! I could instantly see her love for her baby brother too!
I met her sweet baby brother last year during my Christmas mini sessions! He has grown so much in just a few short months, but I suppose that is what babies do! It still never ceases to amaze me though! I was incredibly honored when the Smiths asked me to capture Beckham’s one year milestone portraits!
One Year Milestone Portraits
After we updated their family photos and grabbed a few of just Beckham, we did a quick outfit change on the little guy and prepared the scene for his first cake smash! Smash cake portraits are my favorite! I love capturing their reaction! He put on his “one” onesie and cautiously approached his cake. He dug right in! These images from the cake smash are some of my favorites from the whole session! They are hilarious! At the end, mom and dad went to clean up Beckham and sweet Addie snuck in to do a little taste test! It was the best!
I am already excited for the next time I get to see this beautiful family! It means so much to me that they continue to trust me to capture their family memories! I look forward to seeing them again soon, but until them, enjoy a few of the many favorites from their family + one year milestone session at The Preserve Town Hall
