Birmingham Botanical Gardens Maternity Session

I am so excited to share my recent Maternity and Family Spring Portraits at Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Mountain Brook, Alabama featuring the beautiful Anderson Family! Spring is such a beautiful season full of growth and change. This season of life for the Andersons is the same as they prepare to welcome baby number two to their family. I first met this sweet family last year when I captured their fall mini session. The mom, Ashley, later reached out and told me she was expecting! I was beyond thrilled when she asked me to document this new season of life for her family!

Ashley is absolutely GLOWING as a pregnant mama! She looked stunning in her pink maternity dress! Then there was that sweet little guy of theirs. He was so precious! I can already tell he will be the best big brother! I loved his little button-up shirt that coordinated with dad and complemented mom’s dress so wonderfully. As we walked through the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, we stopped under a white arched gate that had the prettiest green vines hanging from the arch and framing it in. To top it all off, the sun was shining perfectly in the background creating a lovely glow.

It brings me so much joy to photograph these special moments for my clients. I know how quickly time passes by, which is why documenting each new season, or year, of life is so important. I’m sure it won’t be too long from now when Ashley and her husband look back on these stunning maternity and family portraits and find it hard to imagine how life was before there were two kids running around! I love being able to time travel through photos. Looking back allows you to relive moments and periods of time in life. For many they become treasured mementos passed down generations.

I can hardly wait to meet the Anderson’s sweet new addition at their newborn session in just a few months and capture more memories for this amazing family as they enter a new chapter in life as a family of four!
