Downtown Birmingham Engagement Session | Taylor and Tanner
Taylor and Tanner are an incredibly sweet couple. I had the pleasure of capturing their Downtown Birmingham engagement session where we explored the grounds of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens before venturing to Railroad Park. I’m so thankful to have nearby, beautiful spots like these two! The best part about shooting out in nature is that Mother Nature always provides gorgeous scenery that enhances any photo session.
Ever since our first meeting together, Taylor and Tanner have reminded me of a younger version of David and me! At the time of our session, she was finishing up school to be a special education teacher. Whereas, he was headed to law school, hopefully at the University of Alabama! Now, Taylor is actively teaching as a special education teacher, and Tanner is entering his second year of law school at Alabama! I am so excited for the two of them and have loved following their journey!
Taylor and Tanner were so much fun to photograph and I can’t wait for you to see their photos! To start, we walked through the rose garden before we found flower beds full of coral colored flowers that complimented their outfits wonderfully! Next, I photographed them under a rustic, wooden pergola. We then ventured on the path for a bit taking in the blossoming trees, which created a perfect arch over the pathway. I captured a few images of them with tree branches framing them overhead. They look just perfect and I loved watching them enjoy their time together!
Downtown Birmingham Railroad Park
After finishing up at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, we headed to Railroad Park in Downtown Birmingham. Taylor and Tanner did a quick wardrobe change. Their light and airy color scheme was perfect for fields of green grass. To end our Downtown Birmingham engagement session, they cuddled up in the tall grass and I captured a few candid shots of them before heading pack to the path.
Taylor and Tanner are a genuinely kind and joyous couple. They radiate happiness and that happiness is felt when you are around them. It also shines beautifully in their images. They couldn’t wait to be married, so they decided to have a small, intimate wedding during lockdown from Covid and had a big celebration later last year! Their wedding was so sweet, and I loved getting to capture their big day twice!! (Blog coming soon!) Here are some of my favorites from their Downtown Birmingham engagement session.
