One of the true joys of being a photographer is getting to know clients and become part of their lives. Sara and Mark are a wonderful example of this amazing perk. Sara was literally my first ever official client when I started this business! At the time, I was photographing her graduation portraits from the University of Alabama. Now, I’ve captured her graduation portraits, graduation day, engagement portraits, and wedding day. Everything truly came full circle for me (and her). I’m so honored I could be with Sara and Mark on their beautiful wedding day. They had a beautiful Burritt on the Mountain wedding in Huntsville, Alabama – and let me tell you, the details of this day were to die for!!!

Burritt on the Mountain Wedding

Sara loves flowers, I mean LOVES them, so I wasn’t surprised to see arrangements everywhere. They were SO beautiful!! My favorite ones had to be outside where they had their ceremony! Sara and Mark had their ceremony overlooking Huntsville at The View. It was just perfect! The weather was gorgeous and gave us a stunning sunset that evening! While there was so much happiness during their celebrations, Sara and Mark also missed Sara’s grandfather. He passed away the day before their ceremony. Sara was very close to him, so to honor him, they had a really sweet memorial on the seat next to her grandmother. It was difficult for everyone but so thoughtful and important to honor him.

After their ceremony, Sara and Mark had such a great time celebrating with their family and friends. I’m still obsessed with their wedding cake – it was gorgeous, and delicious! I love that they chose to do a last dance privately after their guests headed out for their exit. It’s such a special, quiet time for couples to really take in the excitement and emotion of their wedding day!
