Montevallo, AL Engagement Session | Melissa & Luke
I can’t believe I’m only just NOW sharing Melissa and Luke’s gorgeous Montevallo, AL engagement session with you! Melissa and Luke were actually married in January 2020 during one of my most memorable weddings to date. We had to evacuate during the wedding because of a tornado and headed to a local high school. Seriously, it’s one day I’ll remember forever. But for today, I’m throwing it back to their engagement portraits because they’re just too pretty to not share!!
Montevallo, AL Engagement Session
One of the best parts of engagement sessions is learning more about my couples and their relationship. Melissa and Luke met while in school through Melissa’s best friend. The day they had their first date was supposed to be at the pool, but the weather had other ideas. So instead, they had lunch together and watched a scary movie. Before they knew it, they were onto something special. During a big family dinner, Luke popped the question to Melissa while they were on a walk around Capital Park. Melissa was totally surprised and obviously said yes!! When we were planning their session, I asked Melissa and Luke what they love about each other. Luke said he loves Melissa’s green eyes and how “encouraging, kind, and genuine she is.” Melissa said she loves Luke’s laugh and smile and thinks he’s “passionate, hard-working, and funny.” They’re definitely a match made in heaven!
Melissa and Luke met up with me in Montevallo, AL, which is a sweet little spot right outside Birmingham. We met up in a local park that was beautiful! It was full of tall grassy fields and a small creek that we finished our session in. We were even able to incorporate their dog, Sue, as well during the portraits. It was a perfect day all the way around, and I’m so excited you finally get to see it!
