Caitlin and Draper | A Summer St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Iron City Wedding in Birmingham, Alabama

Caitlin and Draper’s wedding day was a day filled with laughter, dancing, and lots of blow up plastic guitar playing! It was such a great depiction of their personalities! Caitlin and her girls started the day at Iron City in downtown Birmingham where they enjoyed some mimosas and got into their dresses! I absolutely loved the sky blue color Caitlin chose for the bridesmaids dresses, and they looked so stunning on her ladies! Caitlin’s gown was so simple, classic, and elegant, and her train was to die for! I loved watching the sweet moments she shared with her mom while getting ready! 

After all the girls were ready, we headed over to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama for the ceremony. It was my first time shooting here, and it was absolutely gorgeous! I loved all of the stained glass and the architecture of the church! Caitlin and Draper chose to do a first look before the ceremony, and their reactions when they saw each other for the first time were so wonderful and excited! You could truly see the joy and excitement in their eyes that they were finally getting married! The ceremony was gorgeous, and they had a full Catholic mass during the service. The priest who officiated married Caitlin’s older brother and his wife, so it was so special for him to also get to marry Caitlin and Draper! 

After the ceremony, we headed over to the reception at Iron City for tons of fun dancing and delicious food! Caitlin and her dad surprised everyone with a choreographed dance complete with blow up plastic guitars, and you could see how much fun they have together! DJ Chris absolutely rocked it all night and kept everyone out on the dance floor! Caitlin’s dad got up on stage with several groomsmen and surprised her with a complete band of blow up instruments, and they rocked out to AC/DC! Caitlin and Draper are both Auburn alumni, so what better way than to end the evening with an Auburn shaker exit?! 

Caitlin and Draper, thank you guys so much for choosing me to capture your wedding day! It was such an honor, and I loved getting to celebrate with you two! I wish you all the best and love you guys so much!!
