The Sonnet House Wedding in Alabama | Taylor + Tanner
Taylor and Tanner, were recently married at their The Sonnet House Wedding in Alabama right outside of Birmingham. I first met these high school sweethearts during their downtown Birmingham Engagement Photos. I remember thinking how sweet and joyous they were during their engagement session. These two have overcome a lot of setbacks during their wedding planning due to Covid. I love that they didn’t let it stop them from having their beautiful wedding ceremony and saying “I do”. Their wedding day may have looked a little different than they originally planned, but it was just as special!
The Sonnet House Wedding
They were married in a small private ceremony in May and then had their wedding reception and celebration this past September. The Sonnet House was an absolutely stunning, romantic venue. This historic family farmhouse features beautiful gardens and wooded areas with a gorgeous tree line. Everywhere you turned was beauty! Taylor and Tanner had their wedding ceremony outside on the grounds of The Sonnet house in the courtyard that felt like an English garden.
Before their wedding ceremony they did a first touch as they held hands on either side of the wall and exchanged gifts. The bride did a first look with her dad, which was so sweet! After their lovely ceremony, Taylor and Tanner made their exit in their decorated getaway car!
Romantic Wedding Day Details
Each detail of their beautiful wedding was so thoughtfully planned out! Their invitations featured beautiful artwork by Gracefully Made Art that was stunning and tied into other elements and details of their wedding. I love the hand painted bible featuring their names and wedding date on the front. It was such a personal, meaningful item that I just love!
The bridesmaids wore long pink dresses, which were accented by a lovely arrangement of pink and white spring flowers. The pops of color from the wedding flowers were beautiful and woven into all the details and decorations. Their classic three tiered wedding cake featured the same flowers from her wedding bouquet, tying everything together beautifully!
Their wedding reception was also held outside at The Sonnet House paved patio area under stringed lights that twinkled romantically as the sun went down! It was a night filled with joy and love as everyone came together to celebrate this wonderful couple. I am so thankful that I was able to capture their magical wedding day! They celebrated their marriage by traveling to Disney for their honeymoon for some well deserved fun and relaxation! Congratulations Taylor and Tanner!
