Birmingham Botanical Gardens Engagement Session | Lauren & Graham

My recent Birmingham Botanical Gardens Engagement Session was truly enchanting! If you’ve never been to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, you are missing out. It is absolutely gorgeous! Needless to say, I was thrilled when Lauren & Graham reached out to me about scheduling their engagement photos and we settled on the gardens as the location! 

Birmingham Botanical Gardens Engagement Session

I loved capturing Lauren & Graham walking hand in hand through the garden, along the stone path, cuddled on a wooden bench, and sitting under that giant willow tree.  We changed things up during the second half of our Birmingham Botanical Gardens Engagement Session and added in their classic car, a black lincoln continental convertible! 

Next, Lauren did a quick wardrobe change; her outfit was amazing! I loved the soft lilac color that complimented the scenery perfectly. We took a walk around the pond and back through some of the garden areas for a few more images. 

Their Love Story 

Lauren & Graham were incredibly sweet and a wonderful couple. They shared with me a few details about their love story and engagement, which was so fun to learn about. They met at Birmingham Southern and were living on campus. Thanks to the pool, they connected and the rest was history. When Graham was ready to propose, they took his new puppy on walk in the park and he told me he wanted to take a photo. When I turned around from where he told me to propose, he was down on one knee. One of my favorite things to ask my couples is their favorite things about each other. Lauren and Graham’s answers were so sweet!! 

Lauren said “I love Graham’s attention to others! He has such a kind heart and is always making sure everyone feels welcome and included.” And Graham said:  “I love Lauren’s passion! It can take the shape of exercising, or pursuing her career in medicine, it is limitless.”

Lauren and Graham are both down to earth and kind. One thing was clear during our Birmingham Botanical Gardens Engagement Session, these two are not only deeply in love, but absolutely wonderful together. I can’t wait to see more of their love story unfold at their Belle Farms wedding!
