Meaghan and Jace are husband and wife! Their Douglas Manor wedding (2.0!) was a joy to photograph! When I initially met with Meaghan for her consultation, I knew right away I was going to love working with them. Meaghan and I just CLICKED, and we talked for several hours. It was like we had known each other forever! With COVID-19, many couples had to make alternate plans for their wedding days. With everything going on, Meaghan and Jace decided to tie the knot in a small ceremony at First Baptist Church Sylacauga with their immediate families, which I was honored to photograph. In June, they planned a vow renewal for more of their family and friends to attend. In a joyful spirit, they titled their second wedding “Tying a Double Knot, 2.0!” I thought it was such a great way to find something good in their situation.

Their June wedding was simply beautiful. It was my first time photographing a Douglas Manor wedding, and it was so much fun!! Even at 34 weeks pregnant! Not only was it my first wedding at Douglas Manor, but Meaghan was actually the first ever bride for McClendon’s Bridals, the shop she purchased her dress from. What a fun experience all around! And she looked absolutely STUNNING in her dress!! Their ceremony was held outdoors by the fireplace as the sun was beginning to set. Filled with gorgeous white candles, everything looked SO elegant! After a few husband and wife portraits after the ceremony, we headed into their reception where they enjoyed the celebration they had hoped for with their families. A fun shaker exit ended the night for Meaghan and Jace.

Congratulations, Meaghan and Jace! I absolutely LOVED working with you two and have loved getting to know you both throughout this season of your lives. The way you handled yourselves navigating through the curveballs COVID through your way was truly inspiring. And it reminds me why I do what I do- love truly conquers all. Congratulations on tying the knot (twice!) and thank you for including me in your story!
