Emily and Connor | Rustic Warehouse Downtown Birmingham Alabama Wedding
“She’s in here,” he whispered with such anticipation and emotion. It was the moment he had been waiting for his entire life. The moment he would see his bride for the first time on his wedding day. She walked up behind him and told him to turn around, and I don’t think anyone in the room had a dry eye when their eyes met.
Emily and Connor’s wedding day was such a Christ-centered day filled with so much joy and emotion. I don’t think I stopped smiling a single time on this day! It was so evident to all just how anticipated, respected, and cherished this new covenant they were about to enter into was, and wow it was beautiful. I am so honored that I was the one chosen to capture it.
Emily and Connor chose the beautiful The Theodore as their wedding venue, and what a wonderful choice it was! It is such a gorgeous space filled with so much natural light from all the large windows- it’s a photographers DREAM! I loved how many personal touches were put on their wedding. Emily’s brother built the backdrop for the ceremony, as well as made the song mash up for the father daughter dance! Emily’s mom is an incredibly talented artist, and I remember her showing me drawings at our consultation of what the venue would look like on the day of the wedding, and y’all!! Her vision and drawings came to life so beautifully!! It was so special because Emily’s mom and her friends got the venue all set up with the decor, and it was so fun to see them come together to celebrate Emily!
Emily and Connor had such a fun bridal party as well! It was especially fun for me because I had worked with several of the bridesmaids before as one of Emily’s bridesmaids, Emily A., was one of my brides in May! Emily was one of Emily A.’s bridesmaids as well, so it was so fun to get to work with both of my sweet brides again!!
Usually on a wedding day, the first look is my favorite part of the day because it is a time where the bride and groom can just be vulnerable together and just have a moment to themselves. For this wedding though, I really think it’s a tie between the first look and the ceremony. Emily and Connor’s first look was so joy filled and emotional that it even had me tearing up, but watching them exchange their vows with so much emotion just hit me completely in the feels! It was truly such an incredible, Christ-centered day, and I’m so honored to have been a part of it!!
To Emily and Connor- I love you guys so much, and I’m so excited for this next chapter of your lives! I’ve seen just how perfect y’all are for each other, and I know y’all are going to have a lifetime full of so much happiness and love!! Congratulations you two! I wish you all the best!!
