I’ve worked with many couples and photographed tons of weddings, and Mary Clayton and Lane were one of the most excited and giddiest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with! These two were some of the sweetest people I’ve met! On top of that, their wedding day was absolutely beautiful! It was such a testament to them and their love for each other! Anyone who is around them can see how smitten they are with each other, and that is evident throughout their wedding day images as well! Lane clearly ADORES Mary Clayton! I loved every minute of their romantic + classic Birmingham wedding at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and The Club!

The couple infused many personal touches and family heirlooms into their wedding day, which I just love! Mary Clayton wore her family’s stunning heirloom veil during their family portraits. This veil has been in her family for decades! The bride also used the family’s silver goblet to drink from at the reception. It brings me so much joy to capture moments like these for couples and families. As these heirlooms continue to be passed down through the family, they will have beautiful photos to look back on and tell the story of their family and these family items. I know these photos will become treasured family mementos that are passed down and enjoyed through the generations just as these items have been.

In addition to all the personal touches and family items, the couple put so much thought into their day from beginning to end! Each detail was thoughtfully planned out and executed. More than that though, I don’t think Lane or Mary Clayton stopped smiling the whole day … and neither did I! Their classic, gorgeous wedding day was perfect from beginning to end and I’m so glad I was a part of it! Congratulations, Mary Clayton and Lane!
