Laura and Drew | A Southern Fall Sonnet House Wedding

It was the week of their wedding. Laura’s name popped up on my phone. When I heard her voice, I immediately knew. COVID-19 had hit. She explained that Drew had tested positive for COVID-19, even though he didn’t have any symptoms. I heard the sadness and frustration in her voice. Their Sonnet House wedding they had been planning for that weekend in September wasn’t going to be able to happen just a few days from that phone call. Like so many other brides in this pandemic, Laura was forced to reschedule her wedding. Throughout the entire postponement, she handled herself with such grace and kindness, and I have so much admiration and respect for her.

At last, Laura and Drew’s wedding day finally came in November. As expected, they were thrilled that their wedding day had finally arrived. It was FINALLY here! They were finally going to become husband and wife, despite having to reschedule and re-plan their whole wedding. Their wedding day was gorgeous from the very start. The fall day brought beautiful weather, and the foliage complimented the wedding color palette beautifully! Laura wore a gorgeous lace gown from Bella’s Bridal and Formal which fit her PERFECTLY! The bridesmaids wore dusty rose gowns from Azazie. One of my favorite special touches that Laura and Drew incorporated into their day was the beer they served. Hornfish Brewing is Laura’s sister’s business, so it made it that much more special to have their beer served on their wedding day!

Laura and Drew’s bridal party were so much fun and kept the energy high all day long! The dj from Platinum Entertainment kept the guests dancing for hours. He played so many throwback songs- it was a BLAST!! I absolutely loved celebrating Laura and Drew and am so grateful I was able to be a part of their special day! Congrats, you two!!
