Sara Beth and John | A Fall Moss Rock Preserve Engagement Session

Sara Beth and John had such gorgeous weather on this beautiful fall day for their engagement session at Moss Rock Preserve! I was so excited they wanted to have their session here as  it is one of my favorite spots to shoot! I loved that they also brought John’s dog along for the session! I’m ALWAYS down to incorporate your fur babies into your session! 🙂

I don’t think this is an engagement session I will EVER forget though, because in between driving to the locations, I told my husband, David, that I would put the keys in the gas cap for him to get back into the car whenever he wanted since he was there taking our dogs on a hike at Moss Rock while I was shooting the session. Well, I didn’t realize that my gas cap doesn’t open from the outside- only the inside- so this was the first time I ever locked my keys inside my car haha. I felt quite dumb and was pretty much mortified that I had not only locked the keys in the car, but the fact that I did it in the middle of a session really took the cake. It may or may not have taken us about 3 hours to finally get back home with my car, but I definitely learned from that mistake and won’t be doing that again. I was so grateful for Sara Beth and John for not laughing at me like the complete idiot I was that day- that’s when you know you’ve got great clients! 🙂 I can’t wait for their Birmingham wedding in May, and I promise I won’t lock my keys in the car that day! 😉
