Jemison Trail Engagement in Mountain Brook, Alabama | Emily + Sean

Emily and Sean are one of those couples that just make you happy to be with! They are just a joy to be around! We had so much fun together for their Jemison Trail Engagement session. Their laid back attitude and excitement over their engagement made their session so enjoyable. Emily and Sean are a perfect match. It was easy to see within moments of being around them how wonderful they are together and how much they are looking forward to tying the knot! 

Jemison Trail Engagement

For their engagement portraits, we visited two beautiful locations, Jemison Trail and the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Mountain Brook, AL. Jemison Trail was a special place for Emily and Sean as they often take their sweet goldendoodle, Izzy, for walks on this trail. I love that we were able to incorporate a place of meaning for their engagement portraits. It was also exciting to explore a new area and take in the beauty of the trail! The wooden bridge was beautiful!  

We finished their session at the Botanical Gardens where there was gorgeous fall foliage all around! I was so excited the ginkgo tree was showing off for us with the most beautiful, vibrant colors! 

Their Story

I asked the couple to share more about how they met, and, of course, their proposal story! They met how many couples do, on Hinge! Emily revealed that she had pretty low expectations when signing up, but Sean and her matched shortly after joining and they always had the best conversations that flowed naturally. Emily knew it was truly meant to be. 

For their proposal, Sean had planned a date night for an evening he was coming back from a business trip. The night of their date, he took her to Huntsville Botanical Gardens. They walked until they were in front of the Water Lily Pool where there was a group taking pictures. Sean asked one of the moms to take their picture.  Both the mom and Emily thought this was a normal couple picture, until Sean turned and dropped to one knee! What a shock to both Emily and that mom! I absolutely love this sweet story! 

I am incredibly happy for Emily and Sean and grateful for the opportunity to photograph their gorgeous engagement! Congratulations!
